China Unfiltered

Benjamin, GB

This audio-visual poem humbly presents a pure, unfiltered, chronological stream of images of China recorded during a 4 month British Council placement I undertook at the University of Jinan in China earlier this year. While in China I also produced some songs with a Chinese friend, and one of these is used to accompany the images. I hope that these sounds, words and images intertwine for the viewer and instill a sense of profound, melancholic beauty; hinting at the limitless possibilities the fusion between the cultures of China and the EU can bring, and which are drawn closer together each day. With thanks to all my new friends from all over the world.
