Porcelain and monastery wall.

In 2014 we traveled one month through Sichuan province. A highlight of the journey was the ascent of Mount Emeishan, one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China. We did a tough two-day hike from Baoguo (200m) to the snow-coverd hilltop (3099m) by a beautiful ‘never-ending’ stairway. The climb goes through thick, foggy rain forest and is dotted with ancient temples and monasteries…a magical experience!
I selected three -rather abstract- shots taken during this ‘enlightening’ ascent.
