Terracotta army of Xi’an

I took this photo of the terracotta soldiers while living in Xi’an. The terracotta army consists of thousands of individual statues, all of which have distinct features and hairstyles. The soldiers were found by accident in the 1970s when local farmers were digging for a well. I was glad to see so many young Chinese Xianese people so proud of this find and appreciating their history.
