Dead End Highway

DEAD END HIGHWAY

The image was taken out of the High Speed Train between Shanghai and Beijing at 330 km/h (205 mph) speed. It shows an unfinished highway and the typical growing settlements in the outskirts of the large cities – which both serve as a symbol for the rapid growth and wealth in China.

  1. Great photo. The highway stops abruptly and will probably never reach the city in the background, in spite of that being its purpose.
