Confucius Shining

This was Confucius’ house. China’s most important philosopher used to live in this small and humble but utterly beautiful and simple temple house with typical roof. This wooden pavilion is accompanied by a centuries old gnarled Cypress tree and proudly stands in the Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum, Beijing admits the other temples and the Touch Evil Cypress tree.
During this evening late October the setting sun tries to break through the layers of smog the city is covered in and casts rays of sunlight in the temple yard.

  1. The colours and the sun shining through the building.. Such a well-captured moment. Impressive indeed.

  2. The light and the branches are amazing – it looks like a living being, rather than simply a house.
