  • To my Chinese friend

    Hello, my Chinese friend!

I never met you but I hope that we will know each other soon.

Untill then please allow me to introduce myself. And because I do not like to speak about me, let’s imagine that we speak about a girl named RO and allow me to write you about her.

  • How I met the Panda Woman

“When I was a child, approximately ten years old, I went to a fancy little fair in Brussels near Gare du Midi. I found my first panda teddy bear there, I spent money to buy it to sleep with it in my bed,” the brunet lady is telling me the story standing in the door of her very nice house. Her name is Laurence and certainly not only for me she is the Panda Woman.

  • Dreaming of China

    Dreaming of China

As a student of Politics and International Relations in the United Kingdom and Belgium, I had the opportunity to conduct in-depth study on the relations between China and the European Union. Throughout the years I studied on the one hand, the history and political system of China; and on the other hand the history and development of the European Union. Then I went further and studied the connections, especially those related to trade, between these two great international actors.

  • The Changing Scope of International Economic Relations – Chinese Leadership in the 21st Century

The crisis in Ukraine from March 2014 sparked a fire between the West and Russia that will smoulder long after its resolution. The conflict carries the potential for enormous repercussions – social, political, and economic – for both sides. With the outstripping growth of many Asian economies – China, South Korea, Singapore, inter alia – and the said crisis, the increasingly eastward focus of international economic relations gathered even more momentum.

  • CHINA UNLIMITED. PEOPLE UNLIMITED. RESTRICTIONS LIMITED

China is on the planet Earth. If you watch the map – in right of Russia, there are many fabrics there and they produce everything – this is the most common view of the People’s Republic of China by Europeans and Bulgarians.

About
US

'China Unlimited’ is a joint project of the Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the European Union and Atlas International Culture (AIC) in collaboration with the College of Europe and Lancaster University Confucius Institute.

40th anniversary of China-EU relations

The 40th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic ties celebrated this year is a valuable opportunity to look to the future and deepen our cooperation, which also means developing our cultural understanding. Throughout 2015 in Brussels, you will be able to discover the very best of Chinese culture: ping pong, qi gong, Chinese film, opera, and much more. The ‘China Unlimited’ competition is just one of many ways to take part in the celebrations!

Mission of China

The Mission of China to the EU was set up in Brussels in 1975. Our goal is to increase cooperation between the two sides and we work hard to keep on advancing China-EU relations and promoting exchanges between our people.

Atlas

Atlas International Culture (AIC) is a Belgian-Chinese company which offers a wide range of cultural and educational programs as well as consulting services to public and private organisations, companies and individuals in both Europe and China.

College of Europe

The College of Europe was the world’s first university institute of postgraduate studies and training in European affairs, and remains unique and innovative to this day. Its origins date back to the 1948 Hague Congress when Salvador DE MADARIAGA, a Spanish statesman, thinker and writer in exile, proposed the establishment of a College where university graduates from many different countries could study and live together.

College of Europe

Lancaster University is ranked in the top 1% of universities globally; it places great emphasis on a strong student experience and employability and gives students access to academics who are experts in their field.
In 2011, the University opened the Lancaster University Confucius Institute which aims at offering Chinese language and cultural classes and promote people-to-people exchanges between the United Kingdom and China.
